Advanced Designer and Inspector Resources

All Type IV and V SSTS and any SSTS with a design flow of >2500 gpd must be designed and inspected by MPCA Certified Intermediate or Advanced Designers and Intermediate or Advanced Inspectors. In order to become an Intermediate Designer you must be fully certified as either a Basic SSTS Designer or Basic SSTS Inspector, which means you have successfully completed coursework, examination and experience requirements.  To become an Advanced Designer you must first take the Intermediate class and pass the exam.  For both the Intermediate and Advanced Design certification one must also take the Service Provider class and pass the exam.
