2020 Online Workshops

Response to COVID-19: Online Workshops

These two Pre-Certification online courses were created in response to Covid-19 in-person workshop cancellations. All in-person workshops have been cancelled through June 30th, 2020. With guidance from the State of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota we are awaiting further direction regarding workshops after June 30th.

Introduction to Onsite Systems and Installing Onsite Systems are foundational to many SSTS certifications.  The courses will include live video lectures each day with instructors, homework and/ reading, quizzes, and a knowledge mastery assessment taken at the end.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency’s (MPCA) SSTS certification exams are suspended and currently unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, the MPCA has developed a conditional certification protocol to allow new professionals  to be eligible for certification in the applicable specialty areas after successfully completing accredited online certification courses. Once testing resumes, individuals who have become certified under this protocol must pass the required examination(s) to remain certified. Individuals who are unable to attend required certification training due to COVID-19 restrictions or cancellations may follow the MPCA’s regulatory flexibility process, where these requests will be managed on a case-by-case basis. More information: COVID-19 and regulatory flexibility. This is a temporary protocol that will be reevaluated as more training and testing options are scheduled. For more information, you may contact the MPCA via phone or email at 651-757-2201 and ssts-info.pca@state.mn.us

Please note, these two online workshops are NOT APPROVED for CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS.
