Online Workshops - Intro & Installation

As part of the OSTP response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are again offering two workshops fully online: Introduction to Onsite Systems, and Installing Onsite Systems.

Introduction to Onsite Systems and Installing Onsite Systems are foundational to many SSTS certifications. The courses will include live video lectures each day with instructors, homework and/ reading, quizzes, and a knowledge mastery assessment taken at the end.

The online workshops do NOT include the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) certification exams. The MPCA certification exams will still need to be taken at a later date. We will inform you of testing dates as they are scheduled. More information about Covid-19 impacts to testing, certification and licensing can be found on the MPCA website. Please note, these two online workshops are NOT APPROVED for CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS.

Introduction to Onsite Systems - e104

Schedule: This course will take place over the course of five consecutive days. In order to complete the course and receive your certificate you MUST: 1. Attend all 5 live lectures, 2. Complete the online quizzes & activities, 3. Complete the knowledge mastery assessment.

November 2-6 (Monday - Friday):

Live lecture daily: 3pm - 5:15pm - Knowledge Mastery Assessment: Online quiz, further instruction provided during the course.

Installing Onsite Systems - e1124

Schedule: This course will take place over the course of five consecutive days. In order to complete the course and receive your certificate you MUST: 1. Attend all 5 live lectures, 2. Complete the online quizzes & activities, 3. Complete the knowledge mastery assessment.

November 16-20 (Monday - Friday):

Live lecture daily: 3pm - 5:15pm - Knowledge Mastery Assessment: Online quiz, further instruction provided during the course.

Registration

The following items are required for online participation:

- An internet connection (broadband wired or wireless, with 600kbps down)
- A computer with speakers and a microphone (built-in or USB plug in, or wireless Bluetooth)
- A webcam (either built-in to the computer, or USB plug-in)
- An individual guest account at learning.umn.edu (can be created during the registration process)
- A valid shipping address for materials delivery
- A valid picture ID

*Note: Staff encourages you to register online, with a credit card, for these courses.  The University is under reduced operations so mail is only checked once per week.  Purchase orders can be emailed to septic@umn.edu.  The second page of the form is our regular workshop schedule which is subject to change per state and university leadership.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing by OSTP staff (septic@umn.edu) seven calendar days in order to receive a refund. Refunds are only issued for cancellations received via email to septic@umn.edu by this date. All refunds will be made in the same manner as payment minus a $30 cancellation fee. Cancellations received six calendar days prior to the workshop start date will forfeit their registration fee in full.
